Alkyone

Alkyone in Greek mythology was a daughter of Atlas. Homer, in his story of Jason and the Argonauts, refers at length to Alcinous (Alkinoos) as the ruler of Scheria.

>Daniel Fleck who. among others, associated Scheria with Atlantis suggested therefore that Alkyone/Alcinous was a king of Atlantis(a). He suggested that Alkinoos was possibly Atlas, and so was the ruler of Atlantis.

I think it more likely that two different characters are being discussed.<
