Mackinder, Halford John

Halford John Mackinder  (1861-1947) was a highly respected British geographer. In his 1902, Britain and the British Seas [2121] he refers several times to a very ancient ‘Atlantis’ situated in the North Atlantic between Greenland and Scotland. He uses the term to describe a long-lost geographical feature and nowhere refers to Plato.
