Atitlan

Atitlán is the name of a beautiful lake in the highlands of Guatemala and the centre of a flourishing tourist industry. Frank Joseph identifies the area as having been settled by colonisers from Atlantis. In recent years, evidence of pre-classical Mayan artefacts was discovered on a submerged island in the middle of the lake amid what were apparently ceremonial structures. To suggest that this was Atlantis or even an Atlantean colony is just speculation unsupported by anything apart from a fertile imagination.
