Bombard, Alain
Alain Bombard (1924-2005) was a French biologist and environmentalist, who is probably best remembered for his 1952 solo crossing of Atlantic in a rubber dinghy, without food or water(b) . He was the author of many books, usually with a maritime theme and has also appeared on a number of documentaries.
He has touched briefly on the subject of Atlantis, affirming its reality[1335] and offering support to the Minoan Hypothesis(a).
