Campanella, Tommaso (L)
Tommaso Campanella (1568-1639) was an Italian philosopher and theologian. During his eventful life, Campanella frequently clashed with Church authorities(a) resulting in torture and years of imprisonment. At his first trial he defended the views of Galileo(b).
In his 1595 philosophical work, Epilogo Magno[1419], he situated Atlantis in the Atlantic. ?
