Evans-Wentz, Walter Yeeling
Walter Yeeling Evans-Wentz (1878-1965) was an American anthropologist and writer. He studied at
Stanford University and Jesus College, Oxford. In 1911, he published his degree thesis as a book, The Fairy-Faith in Celtic Countries[1099], which is available online(a). On page one, he refers to the Atlantic as the ‘Ocean of Atlantis’.
