Foucrier, Chantal

Chantal Foucrier (1947- ) is the author of Le mythe littéraire de l’Atlantide, 1800-1939 (University of Grenoble, 2004) which is based on her PhD thesis(a).  In it she discusses the influence of Plato’s story of Atlantis, the related comments of mystics and occultists as well as scientific discoveries in English, French and German literature from 1800 until the start of the Second World War.
