Marmer, H. A.

H. A. Marmer (1885-1953), an expert on tides and currents was the author of The Sea [1634], in which he thoughtfully reviewed the story of Atlantis without arriving at any firm conclusion. It appeared to me that he favoured an Atlantic location, although he was also influenced by the Mediterranean site at Gulf of Gabes which was then being promoted by Paul Borchardt.
