Shepard, Leslie

Leslie Shepard (1917-2004) was born in London and was a filmmaker, writer and avid book collector. Later in life, he moved to Dublin where he founded the Bram Stoker Society in honour of the Irish creator of Dracula. He died in Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

Shepard wrote the foreword to the 1968 ‘Crown’ edition of Lewis Spence’s The History of Atlantis, as well as the Introduction to Gerald Masseys A Book of the Beginnings.

He was the editor of the Encyclopedia of Occultism and Parapsychology, which incorporated much of Spence’s Encyclopaedia of Occultism, appropriately revised and updated.
