Leonardo Bettini

Bettini, Leonardo

Leonardo Bettini (1939-1982) was a member of Egerton Sykes’ Atlantis Research Centre and was the author of “The Italian Atlantis” published in Genoa in 1963.>He suggested that the Atlantis narrative had a Phoenician rather than a Greek origin(a).<He also favoured a Caribbean location for Plato’s island.

Bettini was also something of a political anarchist.
