Warden, David Baillie

David Baillie Warden (1772-1845) was born in Ireland and following his participation in the rebellion of 1798 fled to America. There he worked as a teacher and developed relationships with some of the leading political figures of the day. He was later sent to Paris as Consul. He died in Paris where he had lived for 38 years and never returned to Ireland^(a).

Thorwald C. Franke has noted that Warden, among others,supported the idea that the ‘mound builders’ of America had come from Atlantis^(b).
