Delaméthrie, Jean-Claude

Jean-Claude Delaméthrie (1743-1817) was a qualified French physician, but he never practiced medicine. However, from 1801 until his death he was professor of natural sciences at the Collège de France in Paris. He expressed his support for an Atlantic location for Atlantis in the 1797 five volume 2nd edition of his Théorie de la Terre[1240].
