Conan Doyle, Sir Arthur
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930) the renowned creator of Sherlock Holmes, also
wrote a relatively short novel with an Atlantis theme, published in 1929 entitled The Maracot Deep. Compared with other books of the genre, it is considered a disappointing work. It was recently opportunistically republished as Atlantis – Discovering the Lost City[235]. Lewis Spence had advised Conan Doyle on the subject of Atlantis. The text of the original novel is available on line(a) .
