Navarro, Lucas Fernandez
Lucas Fernandez Navarro (1869-1930) was a Spanish professor of crystallography at the Central University in Madrid. In a paper published in 1916 in the International Journal of Science (vol.27), he promoted the idea of Atlantis being situated in the Canaries. He declared Atlantis to be a ‘geological fact’(a). Confusingly, it is also reported that in 1923 he made a speech which rejected any scientific possibility of the existence of Atlantis!
