Paraguay
Lozano, Pedro
Pedro Lozano (1697-1752) arrived in South America from Spain as a teenager and studied at the National University of Córdoba in Argentina and became a professor of philosophy and theology. He was ordained as a Jesuit priest and worked in Paraguay as an ethnographer and historian.
The Atlantisforschung.de website informs us(a) “In the first volume of his extensive Historia de la conquista del Paraguay, Rio de la Plata y Tucuman, Lozano proves to be an ardent admirer of Plato, who acknowledged the historicity of his Atlantis account in principle.” He placed Atlantis in the Atlantic with the survivors of its destruction migrating to America.
