Zitman, Wim
Willem (Wim) Hendrik Zitman (1941- ) is a Dutch researcher who has studied and written about 
Egyptology, cosmology and geology. In his book Het Horus Enigma (The Horus Enigma) he argues for a greater appreciation of the astronomical knowledge of the ancient Egyptians. His recent book, Van Egypte naar Atlantis (From Egypt to Atlantis)(b), also in Dutch, claims an Atlantean origin for the early Egyptian civilisation, with Atlantis having existed in the Atlantic (30°30’N.35°7’30”W) before its submergence. This belief is based on his reading of various Egyptian texts such as the “Pyramid Texts, Sarcophagus Texts, Underworld Books and in the Book of the Dead”. Although this suggestion is not new, Zitman has at least attempted to put some flesh on the bones of the idea.>Access to all the chapters of his book is offered on his sitemap(c).<
