Thomas K. Dietrich (1948- ) in a recent book, The Origin of Culture, based on forty years research^[217], he locates the ‘original’ Atlantis in America and identifies Morocco as one of its principal colonies. He contends that from Morocco, Atlantean culture first spread to Ireland and afterwards to Libya and Egypt. His book contains an overwhelming number of references to support his thesis and he is currently working on a follow-up book. He also promotes the book with a website^(a).

He believes that Culture and Science spread through the Mediterranean from the west (Morocco) and that Civilisation (urbanisation) spread from the west.
