Lagneau, Gustave
Gustave Simon Lagneau (1827-1896) was a French medical anthropologist who became President of the Anthropological Society of Paris in 1872. Four years later, he expressed the view that Atlantis had been located in Morocco.
He was one of a number of French commentators at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries who nominated Morocco, then a French colony, as the home of Atlantis.
