Hall, Manly Palmer

manly p. hallManly Palmer Hall (1901-1990) was Canadian born before being brought to the United States by his grandmother, where he developed a lifelong fascination with religion, philosophy and science. He was a 33rd degree mason and in 1934 founded the Philosophical Research Society. He lectured widely and was the author of over two hundred works on a variety of subjects such as Alchemy, Tarot, The Bible and Freemasonry. In 1940 he produced a booklet[359]+ on Atlantis that is still in print today. In it, he claims that Masonry came to Egypt and Asia Minor from Atlantis and was originally concerned with sun and fire worship.
