Arnobius
Arnobius of Sicca (now El Kef in Tunisia) was a 4th century AD Christian bishop, who told in one of his sermons, Adversus Gentes (Book I)[1347], of the catastrophes 
that have previously destroyed human civilization, that “ten thousand years ago, a vast number of men burst forth from the island which is called Atlantis of Neptune, as Plato tells us, and utterly ruined and blotted out countless nations.” Again, the date given by Arnobius turns out to be precisely the one of 11600 BC. Though Arnobius’ account seems to be based on that of Plato, he appears to have had access to sources now lost that apparently confirmed Plato’s disclosure in an independent way.
Stephen P. Kershaw in The Search for Atlantis [1585.147] has interpreted this brief contribution from Arnobius as merely a condemnation of uncontrolled imperialism.
