Nguepe Taba II, Maurice

Maurice Nguepe Taba II (1969- ) was born in Cameroon in Central Africa. He has studied in Germany and Canada and founded thenguepe taba Institute of African Studies in Montreal, Quebec. He has written both fiction as well as non-fiction including Afrika als Atlantis (Africa as Atlantis) in which he considers the story of Atlantis as “the foundation of Greek colonial ideology” that was later reflected in the European colonialism that developed from the 16th century onwards. Apart from the political philosophy Nguepe also believes that Africa had been Atlantis, perhaps revealed by his association with the Frobenius Institut in Frankfurt’s J.W.Goethe University.
