Bernie Bamford, a British aeronautical engineer, got his 15 minutes of fame in 2009, when he reported rectangular images, the size of Wales, on the seafloor 620 miles off the west coast of Africa, when browsing Google Earth(a). The images were widely shared on the internet. However, it is claimed that these features were discovered even earlier by Larkin & Cynthia Jones(b).
Google claim “that the image is merely an artifact of the data collection process, not the city of Atlantis.”
If the lines represented walls or streets, they would have to be a number of kilometers thick or wide, which is not compatible with a city.
