Pierluigi Montalbano is a teacher of ancient history and a recognised expert in copper and bronze metallurgy. His latest (2012) book is Sardegna: L’isola dei nuraghi (Sardinia: Island of the Nuraghi). He believes that Atlantis consisted of a number of territories that probably included his native Sardinia(a), but had its capital in northern Tunisia. He has also written an article(b) about the Pillars of Heracles and also suggests(c)(d) that the Hanebu referred to by the Egyptians were Atlanteans. His blogs are in Italian only.
Hanebu (Haunebu) is an Egyptian term that apparently means from “behind the islands” and is claimed by Frank Joseph to be a reference to the Sea Peoples. The same idea is promoted by Ellis Peterson(b). However, it is more generally accepted that the name was the one by which the Egyptian first identified the Greeks(a), which certainly seems more plausible.
Pierluigi Montalbano, the Sardinian researcher, identifies the Hanebu with the Atlanteans(c)(d)!
The name has also been applied to some of the Nazi secret flying machines that were in development towards the end of the war(e).
